Kinarfi, I noticed that too. What you have to do is manually tick the save sent box. When you send a PM at the bottom of the box you type in has a heading "Options" & all you do is tick the add a copy to sent folder. Done. Cheers Mike

Yep it does need to be tighter. There are no eyelets in the door sill area, just a row of Velcro. I don't want to stick on double-sided Velcro onto the sill to receive it so will leave until I get the pop domes. It should tighten up real good though. Cheers Mike.

Here they are. The doors zip down and I just took it for it's 1st spin with it on and surprisingly, it's not to bad vision but not as good as glass. Cheers Mike

I received a full canvas enclosure for a Trooper last week and it's not bad, but I will make a few changes with it to make it user friendly. In it's current form, the front wind screen can't be zipped down and it takes to long to put on & take off. I'm thinking ether a zip for the front screen or cut that section off completely and add Velcro hook & loop strips. The other change would be to add pop dome hardware instead of eyelets for the existing bolts to fasten into. The reason for these changes are two fold. Firstly, on a hot day or when the front screen gets very muddy, it needs to come off and secondly to get it off you have a lot of unscrewing to do including removing the light bar. Pop domes are the same as what's used in the marine industry and bolt straight into the existing hardware. It's a no-brainier really. I'll post photos of the un-modified enclosure on the Trooper soon. Cheers Mike.

Not only do I come from a different country than you guys & gals but my miss-spent youth through to adult hood was more cars, cars & faster cars. I lived for cars and from an early age, 19 years old a had my 1st business which involved driving around and servicing the North Island of NZ every six weeks and the South Island once or twice a year driving fast cars. More often than not I'd end up racing a sales rep I knew from one city to the next. Over here back then, you could get your full drivers licence at 15 and I spent the first 10 years as a boy racer. I'm mellow now but when I first drove the Trooper that old feeling came rushing back & on the odd occasion I have taken myself & the Trooper to the limit - well to my limit anyway. I think what gets my blood rushing is that sound when you 1st start it up. Cheers Mike

rocmoc, without no doubt at all, this was one design oversight on the earlier T2 that is very frustrating. The only 2 ways around it in my view is to cut a larger hole for easier access to the drain plug or go the whole hog and remove the welded panel directly beneath the sump and relocate the T connection housing the hydraulic rear parking brake hoses. The T connection could stay put if a supporting 4cm east to west boxed brace is welded in place of the now removed panel for it to bolt onto. If you do weld on a supporting brace, all that's need is to add another brace further up for the original panel to bolt onto, otherwise replace the cut off panel with a new oversize panel and bolt onto existing panels. I know rocmoc, easier said than done and I haven't made the effort but I think this is your only answer and you are gaining a little weight in doing it. Cheers Mike

I noticed that on my 1st demo a Commando and have been using Morey's heavy duty oil stabilizer in all diffs since. The metal shavings just goes to show how important that 1st oil change is & this occurs in all areas when running in. The diffs tend to get forgotten so use the best product you can. kinarfi, mate I like your idea with the nail and as this is constant issue with me, I'm going to try that one. Cheers Mike

I have two of the new rear plastic trays but what concerned me with them was people riding in the rear & going through them onto the engine after a bump. The do look fairly solid having said that. The plastic would handle a fair bit of heat before they melted Cinda but if you are worried about, an engineer could cut some diamond plate to fit in 1/4 of an hour. Cheers Mike

TJ do a diamond plate flatbed for the Commando & Renegade models but if you have got the know how & tools, I'd say an afternoon would be all you needed to make one. Cheers Mike
