Order is

Cash first, meet the new people & greet old friends! Priorities, LOL! The cash will pay for enough fuel to get to out of the driveway. But every little bit helps.

657 miles per Yahoo Maps. There was a shorter route by 50 miles but it would be down the Mokee Dugway. I will go up it but not down with this rig. Do a search on google for Mokee Dugway, you will be surprised.

That is the route Jeanne and I took when coming back from Blanding area on our trip with Kinarfi. It is real slow going, took us hours to get through it. It's a nice route for scenery but not if your going from point A to B. Don't blame you for not wanting to do it.

I think dpostma from calif is coming?

Well, voice? little better? They said they would try to to have mtrhm done mon eve? We wanted to leave this weekend, but, not without mtrhm. Dr. said ? Have to be real careful, said should be fine, unless I was to have wreck, Or jar it? So,we'll see, I have stuff to do to mtrhm after they are done, but we can make it without floor tile & few other things? So right now, it's still "I don't know" want to so bad....

We're not gonna be able to make it. I did erase what I had posted (Mostly because if I have a couple of glasses of wine before I post, I get "I love you man" syndrome)

But we are gonna do some riding in honor of the Jamboree in Eastern Oregon. I'll post pics. Have fun guys!

EDIT, THE dummy erasing every thing was kinarfi, ;)

Kinarfi plays Steve Martin. That is how I would of picked the roles. Good that means I'm doing the Funny Support Role, fits for this trip. Just fun with no thinking. I need a brain rest!

I had to cut off a large branch on one of the trees but the trailer is attached in the YARD. Nothing has to go in the street, makes be feel better leaving everything loaded the night before, but will wake the neighbors when we pull out at day-break. Weather looked incredible this weekend in Hanksville, cool and a touch of moisture. We will be in the 100s the entire week here at home, good time to leave!

Keep trying Quiq. If you don't make if but for a day to Hanksville, you can follow us over to Moab.

Off-topic, Where do you guys want to camp in Moab? In town we like the OK RV Park, http://www.passport-america.com/Campgrounds/CampgroundDetails.aspx?CampgroundId=554. We are Passport members. Been there before and easy drive to fuel and Hell's Revenge area. Or?

I don't have any problems with the OK RV park. Will try to get reservations there for Sunday nite and Monday night. There is not any remote camping in the area, it's illegal.

Thanks for the invite,,, We are still trying!! We might just do

your idea? Depends on mtrhm? Don't know what riding I'll be doing, but just getting to go will be great, camping, meeting all of you, "listening to you guys talk!! " maybe by then I'll have some voice? Doing our best! Can 1 of you pm your cell #, since we won't have wi-fi all the time. If we do come,is there much chance of getting space at ok rv park, without reservation? We won't know for few days?

They do have the campground at the beginning of Hell's Revenge but better 3/4s will be ready for Wifi to check the business. And the electric will be nice to run AC without running the gen since it is going to be a little warm. We will make reservation also tomorrow. We also will make for Sun & Mon and can always extend if we are not ready to leave.

What are you guys going to do for fuel? Carry with you or drive into Hanksville? I am leaning to driving into Hanksville as the weather is going to be VERY HOT in route for us and I don't like to carry fuel when it is HOT! There is a Shell Station nearby the campground in Moab that we have used in the past.

I have the steel Jeri cans, so I carry my fuel, it works in the camper too, so I don't have to worry about running out.

I can't us 110 in my rig, so I'll be looking for lowest price, Out in the booneys is free, but a long ways from town.

Steve M. but maybe I should be chase, since I'm usually in the rear, but I like Steve.

I thought I might chime in here as i have done a ton of research for Moab. I was trying to make it to the annual UTV jam "Rally On the rocks" meet in May; and talked to many of the organizers . For what it's worth; They tell me that the Arch View Resort http://www.archviewresort.com/ is the ONLY place in Moab that you can ride right from the camp ground on to the trail system without driving on the highway; otherwise you must trailer your side by side, or have a police escort to get to the trail heads. (which they don't do for anything other than big organized events) I don't live there; so I don't know first hand; but they were pretty adimate about his. Oh and the KOA campground at the SE end of Moab is run by anti off roaders who will hassle you. That came from many sources who did attend the Rally On the Rocks UTV Jam. Just my 2 cents. Man I sure wish we could make it .

Sorry to say they gave you some bum info. I have spoke to the local LEO in Moab and posted on here from the UT DMV site that you can drive on the street if you are street legal & have insurance which I do. The local LEO told me to NOT drive on the main highway, use back streets & roads. The Rally has a lot of UTVs that are not street legal and get around the issue by having the police escort. I have been in the Rally and know the organizers from attending. Also if you want you can go on the ridingarizona.com site and do a search of this topic. It has been beat to death on that site. Also Chris, one of the of the organizers, is a regular on that site. They are good people and put on a great event. I went to the Rally first time to Moab as I knew no one and needed to learn more about the area. Worked great, but don't need to any longer. That is new about the KOA as it was one of the host RV parks & that is where we stayed when we attended the event. They did not like you speeding in the campground then, a big NO NO. I did notice when I just went to the website that there is new owners so who knows. It was the second closest RV park to the event and OK RV park was the closest. A lot has changed as the Chris broke away from the Moab UTV Rally and started his own the Rally on the Rocks the next year. BUT bottom line is from other AZ riders just returning from Moab, no problem driving thu Moab if your mind your p's & q's.

I'll be carring my fuel. Easy for me as it can be in the back of the pickup and on the Trooper. Not street legal so what do you recommend is bast place to stay for the trails we will be riding? Arch View sounds nice but it's 10 minutes north of town. I don't know how this sets for the trails we will be riding.

Same place where 2scoops camps, Sandflats. See earlier post, http://www.utvboard.com/topic/2269-anyone-gonna-be-in-moab-for-memorial-weekend/

Has all the info. That is at the trail head of Hell's Revenge.

I never threw my hat in on this years Jamboree because of my hectic summer. I went to Moab twice already this year, just got back from a road trip to Canada (with the entire familiy  ), going to Vegas for my brothers Bachelor party, both my sister and my brother are getting married this summer (no, not to each other you sickos  ), I have two upcoming golf tournaments scheduled & paid for, and I have Air Force Reserves every month. I haven't been at home for a weekend in over a month. I owe my lawn guy like $135. The end all be all is one of my golf tournaments is this weekend. This particular tournament is in memory of my brothers late wife and all proceeds go to charity, so there is no missing it.

Although I can't make the Jamboree, I hope to get together with some members on some other rides until the next Jamboree. I hope you guys have a great time. Please take some picks for us who can't attend. Someone take some detailed photos of Lenny's machine while he isn't looking. You may need to wait until he is asleep. That is if he sleeps :D . He may have improvements to his machine scheduled during the Jamboree.
