Merry Christmas

Recommended Posts

Just stopping by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I see by scanning the messages that the same old crowd is still here but has

dwindled considerably.

I still have my RZR and have racked up a lot of hours and miles on it,

especially with the Search & Rescue team and just joy riding.

My friend just took delivery of the new Can-Am Commander side by side.

It is an awesome machine and talk about fast, it leaves my RZR in the dust. LOL

I still like the small foot print of the RZR however for getting into tight places

and being light I stay on top the snow instead of digging in so I still

manage to stay in front of him most of the time. haha

Everyone take care and ride safe for 2011.

To my old mate Jimmy, a very happy Christmas and New Year to you too. Keep up the good work with your search & rescue team. Great that you can add to your community in this way and good to see you are still enjoying your RZR. The Joyner Trooper still dominates here and has grown beyond belief with new Trooper and Renegade owners signing up all the time. These guys are like family and UTV Boards is like a drug. Don’t be a stranger, we need more people for the other UTV threads and would love to see Polaris gain a foothold on UTV Boards too. Even if it is you just posting to start with, it would be sure to grow with the popularity and strength of the Polaris brand. Regardless, it would be nice to hear from you more often. Take care and hope you and your family has a great Xmas.

Cheers Mike.

I have a Coleman Outfitter 550 purchased in January 2022 that runs and operates pretty well.  65 hours on it so far.   It is a work vehicle for my 10 hilly acres with two 1 acre woods and 5 acres of "lawn".  The rest is under a lake.
My parking brake does not seem to have any grip.  It worked when new but after a month or so, it is just almost useless.     I press the parking brake pedal hard until it stops. Still, it won't hold even on slight inclines.   I don't see the caliper move as I press the brake pedal down.  There seems to be plenty of pad left on it and the rotor is shiny as if it is rubbing a little when applied, but not enough to stop it from rolling.
      Any thoughts on possible causes?

Put a new carb on the 500 to replace the leaking OE one.  Machine idles fine and mid and top end runs great.  It tends to have a hesitation right from the start - bottom end.   Thinking it may be the air/fuel screw??  I didn't do anything with the carb out of the box and is it direct replacement for my machine.  Of interest is the manual choke doesn't seem to work very good now.... wonder is it getting too much air?

      Any help appreciated!
