Do we need any new categories or forums?

I would like to know our member's thoughts on this. Are we lacking in any forums/categories here in the community? Should we add any?

Maybe a pictures and videos forum, or a tech forum, or any other type of category....

Any ideas are welcome!

Some time back I opened an account with webshots, http://community.webshots.com/user/TrooperFolk, and shared the user name and pass word with most of the posters here because it was easy, or at least I thought so, and lots of us have used it. It has lots of room for lots of photos and accepts pictures and videos. If you come up with something quicker and easier, I'm sure it would get used, I like it because you can post one photo and it opens the album and you can see all the photos even if you're not registered, important, for instance, look at Lennys post, http://www.utvboard.com/Nelson-Hills-ride-report-t867.htm,

What we need to do is learn how to write ride reports, like Lenny's and be able to put photos and videos in the report, maybe under it's own non-branded forum. I always enjoy reading my sons forum, here's what that forum looks like, just for an idea, http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317714, lots of picts.

You could drop the KYMCO UTV line, or not.

That's my 2 bits worth.

Kinarfi, Lenny's ride report was very good but after reading your sons forum, I would think this would be a better format for our site if we can do that. Your not linking to another site but as you said you can go on to see all the other photos if you want with webshots. Maybe, if we can post photos like the adrider forum, we could also keep up webshots too and get the best out of both worlds. I have tried to load videos onto webshots before with no success, that's why I suggested to add a video section here. The problem could be for me time lag causing it not to upload, I'm not sure.

Cheers Mike.

The same features with adding a photo in a thread like at http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317714, are available here...I'm not sure what you would want to add except maybe a separate forum for Photos and Videos, or Ride reports forum..

All the photos in that thread are hosted at another site. All you do to add a photo in a thread is grab the url, then use the rte-image-button.png button, which will bring up a popup for you to enter the photo URL. That's it really.

We do not have a video upload section, I can look into adding functionality to display a Youtube video within posts....

I currently have a 2011 Polaris 400 H.O. that has fewer than 300 hrs on it. My buddy bought it new and I bought it with around 100 hrs. I use it around the farm and to get between two properties that are about a mile apart. I am tired of dealing with the choke when its cold or even cool out. It starts fine and runs ok if your driving but until it gets completely warmed up if you pull up to a gate and get off to open it will die. And because of the choke my wife has a hard time with it. Before I got the 400 I had a 2013 polaris 500 midsize that was fuel injected but aways ran rich and foul plugs. I had it at two different dealers and neither one could fix it. So I sold it and bought the 400. My father in law has a 2015 Polaris 570 midsize which is fuel injected and it is hard to start and cranks more than it should. Needless to say I am done with Polaris and ready to sell mine and move on to something better.
I have been looking at the Honda Pioneer 700 and the Kawasaki Mule Pro MX. I was disappointed to learn the Kawasaki Mule Pro MX engine is built by Hysun and not Kawasaki, but that maybe a non issue. Maybe I'm missing another good option that I haven't considered. The main thing is getting something that is bullet proof reliable. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks in advance

      Hi there,

My name is Vern and im in Alaska. I have a 2019 ranger 1000 xp HL crew. So the machine had zero issues with clutch or shifting. then the belt blew. i got the new Polaris belt installed with no issues. i cleaned everything and made sure all belt debris was removed. installed new belt.  now it lurches in gear and is hard to shift if at all. when i insert clutch spacing tool in secondary and relieve belt pressure then in shifts when off no problem. the secondary is spinning fast when in park or neutral. i did try adding and removing shims from secondary also without any change.  the primary moves in and out without issue. it appears there is no issue with primary or secondary. im stumped. can u help please.

Going down a steep hill would there be any advantage putting it in manual mode and using the engine compression to help brake or would it be the same in auto mode?  In other words would there be any advantage putting it in manual mode as I have never tried this?

I have a 2018 700 deluxe I bought new and love it.  I use it for hunting and I have always used it in automatic function.  I just got to thinking and need your input as I have never tried this.  Going down a steep hill would there be any advantage to put it manual mode and use engine compression to help slow it down or would it be the same thing in automatic mode?  Thinking it might save the brakes if it would help
