    • Was wondering if someone wouldn't mind QCing my planned wiring?
    • Chris, I like your setup and am looking to do the same with the charging port.  Looks like you may have 3d printed some of those parts.  Would you mind sharing what you did and the parts used?
    • Just to be clear, all of these lithium batteries have a BMS. Where it differs is the charging/discharging rate they allow and if they communicate amongst themselves to coordinate things like discharge/charge leveling among multiple batteries. Based on the label I see in the picture, yours have a max continuous discharge current of 60A as opposed to the 80A version. That just means that with four batteries your max continuous output is 240A, although they will be able to put out more for a limited time up to the 400A max of the motor. A number of folks on this thread have similar batteries and they are happy with them. It helps that Hisun set the bar rather low by using those Discover batteries; pretty much anything is better than those.
    • Borg I used what factory cables I could but had to get 5 cables from a local battery store in order to run them in parallel.  As for the batts, I do not have a BMS, just connected them with the cam communication wires that were included with them.  I hope that's good enough and don't encounter any problems later.  GNFO yeah I couldn't use the Hisun jhook clamps either so I ended up securing each batt with straps for now, looping under the metal baseboard where the jhooks were.
