Mule 550 parking brake cable and rear end work
Travis replied to Travis's topic in Kawasaki UTV SxS Forum
sorry, just saw this. i cant recall off the top of my head, i will look tomorrow morning. -
Kawasaki made the 695cc engine for the MX. Of course, I'm partial to kawasaki. I haven't killed my mule yet. Don't know if i can. It's been a great machine, for being 22 years old. BUT, that being said Honda makes a good machine as well. the main thing i would consider, is dealer support in your area. It's not IF it breaks down, It's when.

Hisun Vector 500 Lower Timing Chain Sprocket
Travis replied to Texas Rider's topic in Hisun UTV SxS Forum
do you think its possible the shaft could be out of round or bent? -
Sounds more like a Massimo to me...............

made by Zhejiang Chunfeng Power Co., Ltd.,

I'm not seeing any ads....

Wouldn't be any different for a riding mower. Possibly if for whateve rreason the solenoid trigger wire shorts to ground. Or the relay becomes stuck. which is super rare.
-
starter solenoids typically only draw No More than 10 Amps. i remember when i got the new starter for my mule it came with a data sheet and solenoid amp draw was like 5 amps... if i remember right.

Tractor Supply's Cambridge electrical stuff is good. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/search/universal ignition switch?

Coudln't find any online PDFs of the manual, paper copies are on backorder everywhere....... Ill keep looking to see if i can find a wiring diagram.,
-
if all you should need is a good Three position switch. Off/Run/Start. if i was looking at the correct switch online, there are only 4 wires that go to it, just find out which ones need power or ground in the Off/Run/Start.

-
i don't see a need for one.

this is what i used https://www.amazon.com/HD-Switch-AM107421-Improvement-Kawasaki/dp/B0B8W8M3W6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3GGEDB2XDZGW8&keywords=HD+switch+starter+improvement+relay&qid=1680140910&sprefix=hd+switch+starter+improvement+relay%2Caps%2C502&sr=8-3

yes, cured for over a year now, if i remember right. thats why i suggested using a test light so you can see if the bulb dims any due to amperage or voltage drop...
-
-
thats when i installed that John Deere starter improvement rely. not sure what type of starter that your machine uses. a multimeter could be used, but i prefer a test light in the case of finding load drops. You may have enough voltage, but if there isn't sufficient amps to do the work, nada,. but generally there will be a drop in volts along with amperage.
-
Hmm, that sounds like an issue i was having if you have a test light or can get a test light, i would plug it in to the signal wire at the starter solenoid, and see if you get power to it everytime you turn the key.
-
oh, you're having issues with the switch? What are the symptoms.
-
anything is possible when wiring a key switch. you just need to find out which wires are provided Power when the key is in the start position, run position, and what wire kills it (most likely grounds the coil) when you turn the key off.

Briggs and Stratton filed chapter 11 a year or so back, they did some legal mumbo jumbo and emerged as a "new" bankruptcy free Briggs and Stratton now and are still chugging along.
