I'm looking at building a full-flow header with a cleaner collector than the one that came stock. I haven't done the math yet, but the tubes look like they are too long before they hit the collector, and they are rather poorly made. I'd like to find a flange for the header that i can use to build a header and good collector/tailpipe. Is there a good header made, or a header flange? I have the 650 two cylinder.

I know of NO aftermarket headers. I agree our header is more of an exhaust manifold than a header. The tubes on the 1100cc are also different lengths thus a poor header. A real header would also produce an entirely different sound, more like a race car.

I really don't know anything about headers but I do know that the header design is a function RPMs and the use of the engine. A high torque low RPM header is going to be different then a high RPM high HP header. I did run the numbers on the intake tubes at one point and came up with, if I remember correctly, about 3/4" ID for a naturally asperated engine of our cc's for max HP, can't remember the best length, but I feel this would be detremental to low end torque. I assume that the sound of a high torque low RPM header will sound sort of, how do I describe this, PUTTY sounding with putts that are real hard hitting while I think of a high HP higher RPM racing header sounding like Rocmoc says, a smooth very consistant from cylinder to cylinder buz. How do you describe a sound? Cleaning up the ports would be my first step but then again that is part of building a good header. The port passages in the head itself can be also improved but you must be very careful to not cut through into the coolant chamber.

Hi Romoc we have found that the stock cast iron manifold puts out more torque on the lower end than the header. Just something to think about.

Do you have any stock manifolds for sale?

I don't have the four cylinder, I have the two cylinder. The pipes are OK from the head, as far as i can tell, but the collector looks like booger welds, as does the turnout to the muffler. I'd like to start fresh, it is easier to get clean welds on fresh metal. The tubes are long enough for good torque, I just want to get a clean exit.

Hi Guys

All 2011 Troopers will come with the cast iron manifolds. We are trying to get them but China Joyner is not being helpfull. We are going to see if a header dealer will make some headers for more toque on the bottom end.Let see what happens.

Should be the same process as in the articles I posted. Four or two should make zero difference. Just takes time & money, LOL!

Hey Rick,

I take exception to what you just said about Joyner China. The way I see it, Changzhou Joyner is contracted to JMC and can not deal directly with you even though they would love too. This doesnt make them not helpful, it means their hands are tired. Lets all just remember that the Joyner manufacturers are in no way part of what has happened in North America, period. They could not possibly foresee that JMC would simple not order units or parts. I dont know of anyone that blames them at all.

This last 12 months or so has done nothing, other than to make them more determined to make sure contractual agreements will be 100% vetted in the future. Talking out of tune Rick, when Joyner can not possible help you, will really get you in their good books aye!

I think you may of made a typo and should of said, JMC is not being helpful.

Cheers Mike.

On the question about Joyner not being helpful, I meant that many vendors they used were not very helpful. Yes we all know JMC is not doing its share.I was Joyner # 2 Dealer in the USA when John use to own it. I know that they have a contract with JMC and Joyner Could Not Sell to anyone else.

Thanks

Rick

Cool, that clears that up.

I sent you a pm.

Hi Rick. I tried to send you a PM, but the computer said you couldn't accept anymore messages. Shipping by mail would be approximately $30. If you are interested I will need more information.

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

      ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!
I purchased a Massimo Motors Warrior 700 UTV directly through the company. This unit was listed for sale on Ebay as a company demo with only 77 miles. Prior to bidding on the item, I messaged them through EBay and asked if there was "anything wrong with it and if everything worked properly". I was assured in writing that everything on the UTV was operational AND that it would be inspected before shipping. I also called the number that was in the EBay listing to verify that everything was operational and to make sure the item could be delivered to my land in Missouri. I made it VERY clear that I was not interested in bidding on the item if those two things were not acceptable. I was assured over the phone that everything was operational, that it would be inspected prior to shipping and that delivery to my land in Missouri was perfectly fine.
It was not delivered to the address agreed to by their contact listed in the EBay listing. And when it was received, there were multiple items that were not operational. Items that were defective when it arrived include a headlight, a backup light, both horns, the horn wiring and the parking brake.  They refused to even supply me with replacements for all the defective parts. In response to the BBB, Dave said it was sold without a warrantee.  The listing very clearly stated 180 day warrantee for parts.
In addition, the windshield that was clearly shown on many photos on the listing was not delivered with the UTV. That's correct...THEY STOLE THE WINDSHIELD before shipping the unit to me. The first representative from Massimo Motors told me multiple times that “the company will make things right for me”. He did supply me with a couple parts; which I installed myself. Later, he told me that he is no longer with the company. Dave, the new contact never offered any reasonable solution to any of the remaining issues.
His solution to STEALING THE WINDSHIELD was for me to fabricate one myself.
      Unbelievable experience. See files attached.
Hope this helps others from making a BIG MISTAKE.
      See photos attached for proof.
If this help, please let my “buddy” at Massimo know why you aren’t buying one.  Here’s his info:

We bought a used American Landmaster TW450 with a Fuel Injected Kohler 440 on it. Today, I bought a Predator 459cc 15.8hp motor from Harbor Freight. But before we put the new motor in, it's pretty obvious, the stock throttle length is NOT long enough. The stock throttle cable from gas pedal to the end is only 32 inches!
We need at least another 10-12 inches to get to the throttle linkage on the new motor. What can we do??
Is there some way to modify the original throttle to add some length? Or do we have to buy a brand new cable?
