Merry Xmas to all. By the time you read this you will still have a day to wait but it will be Xmas here (current time 11.30pm on the 24th here and 3.30am on the 24th LA time for you) so have a good day for tomorrow your time and I'll catch up with you later and try and feel sorry for me having to spend Xmas day at the beach swimming.

You are going to get coal next Xmas for the beach swimming commit. LOL! Normally we are on the beach South of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico but this year I am freezing, 25 degrees F at home until Feb. Then we will head South for a few weeks. Enjoy the water & your Xmas.

Its freezing here. The horses all have their winter blankets on and the goldens are curled up in the house at my feet.

Ha ha thanks, we give the kids dirty carrots wrapped up if they have been naughty. Don't get me wrong, I love a white Xmas for a change. Merry Xmas Jimmy, good to hear from you mate. Thinking of snow, your photo of you and your friend in his snow machine comes to mind, now I'd swap the sun for a bit of snow any time. Cinda, I can't imagine that at the moment. Take care, stay warm and enjoy a Hot Toddie. 4X4X454 you better have two where you are and Kinarfi & Lenny you guys better not. Better keep your heads clear for that new design change we all know you both will be thinking of for the new year.

I better get back to the barbie and the rellies have arrived so the kids can now open their pressies.

Cheers and seasons greetings Mike.

We are in the middle of a blizzard. We got 18" in the last 36 hours and are supposed to get another 6-8" in the next 24 hours. 25-35 below wind chills. We have had a house full of family since Wednesday and wont be able to leave till Sunday its getting crowded.

I grew up in Kansas and loved it as a kid. As an adult the winters are tougher than I am. You are always welcome to come South and visit in the winter IF you bring your Trooper. Make sure we are here as it gets too cold here and we head further South. Can't even take the 50s in the daytime and the freezing nights, LOL! When I stopped skiing, I had NO further use for snow & cold. Skiing was the only way I could ever justify winter with snow.

Some day we may have to do just that. It sounds like you have some cool places to ride down there. So is everything running good for you?

We all know summer is hot inside the cabs of our SXS. So I've rigged up a couple of fans to help cool down the cab.

I didn't want to drill the fan's "support rails" into the ROPS (Roll Over Protection System), aka roll bars. So I used water clamps to hold them in place.

I just need to replace the wires I ran with bigger gauge. Then finish the wiring to switches, relays, and battery. But the hardest part. The actual mounting of the fans is complete. Also just in case anyone plans on doing this. I may have to only use 1 fan in the middle instead on 2. Due the the draw on the battery.
The fans are 12", 12V 80W. So I'm figured they were 6.7 amps apiece. Used the WAVe formula to get unknown values Watts=Amps*Volts then solve for unknown. I know the watts and volts from sticker on fan. So just used above formula to get amps. So a 7 amp fuse should be OK and a 10 amp fuse will be good.
So pulling 14 amps from the battery all day may be too much for the charging system to keep up with. And I haven't even installed the radio yet. So I will have to test and let you know.

      Hi,
I have a brand new Hisun Sector E1 that I got in March-April timeframe. Its got about 100 miles on it. I was driving it yesterday among some tall grass on one of my hills when it just complete stopped moving. Pressing the accelerator and nothing. I put it in reverse, nothing. I tried in 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive, locked and unlocked. Nothing. I put it in neutral, turned the ignition off and started it again and was able to drive forward about 20-30 feet and it stopped again. No errors. No 45C message, nothing. Just completely unresponsive. I had to "limp" all the way home by turning it on and off to get home. That 30 feet or so that it would travel was full power, I could push it hard or take it gently and it would still cut out on me. Its super bizarre. Anyone have any ideas what might be going on? I'm no electrician...I thought buying a sector E1 would require less work from me than an ICE vehicle, it appears I was wrong. I'm 2 hours from the nearest distributor so pretty worried about getting it serviced.

I thought the problem was electrical but I just found this in the oil filler tube. Does anyone recognize the part? I know I'll have to tear down the whole engine, and maybe I'll find the rest of it in there. Something beg enough to seize up the engine. That was the problem I was trying to diagnose.... 'Cause it's locked up.
      Thanks in advance.
