Is that a deep cycle battery? Would that pose any kind of problem?

Hmmm, maybe the starter solenoid needs replacing? That or the starter itself is bad, but I would start with a new starter solenoid. Mine would lag frequently, and I replaced the solenoid. No issues now.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I would think that, as long as the amp rating is close to the OEM battery, there's no reason why it shouldn't work. I don't believe I would have enough room in mine, since it is engineered to just fit the size of the factory battery. I'm actually using a lawn mower battery. The powersports batteries were much more expensive.

If I remember correctly it was clockwise, but don't quote me on that. I don't know if we have the same engine or not.

Actually, this happened to me. I had removed the starter on my T-boss 410, cleaned it, and when I replaced it, it was spinning in reverse. Took me a while to figure it out, but I had to disassemble it and reassemble it a few times before it ran in the correct direction.

You may have a bad o-ring or seal of some sort. Try to locate a model number for the engine and/or the carb, and do a search on the internet for a rebuild kit. Or, contact the closest Trailwagon dealer and see if they may carry the kit. Usually (but not always) purchasing a kit from a seller on the internet is less expensive.

Carbureted or fuel injected? If it's a carb, maybe just remove and clean/rebuild it. If it's fuel injection, sounds like an injector problem.

Is it oil fouling, maybe? Does it smoke a lot? Or is it running rich?

According to my service manual, the gap for mine is 0.6-0 7mm. Not sure how that converts to inches. But, it is a moot point since you already regapped the plugs.

Darn, was hoping it was gonna be something simple like that.

What are the spark plugs gapped at? It's probably just the pic, but those gaps look kinda big.
