  1. A professional Builder of ATV/ UTV engines told me a rhino will bolt up
  2. got over 100 miles on it.. runs better every time .. Thing has big balls .. I ride with several friends. One has an Arctic Cat 650 V-twin.. ... He smokes my SXS every trip, but I got the last laugh when we matched up with my CForce 600.. on flat ground .. This thing is very fast out of the hole with the CVT transmission. .. It does burn more fuel than my others.. maybe 15 mpg..
  3. My 500 engine has no decompression release , but it spins easily and has always started easily.. that was never an issue.. blown head and head gaskets were the plague that fell upon mine from 1st day I bought it.. for which Massimo refused any warranty reimbursement from first day break down on
  4. never had issues with starting it.. always started right up..and in 5-10 minutes overheated! lol .. All is good now. But it was a nightmare from day one when I had to be towed back to Camp after 15 minutes of driving! Maybe your battery is aging or might not be large enough ? I had a 350CCA battery in mine new.. When it crapped out, I put a Marine Starting 600CCA battery under driver seat and ran new larger and longer cables. used #6 AWG wires
  5. just an update on my MSU 500 . For all the misery it caused me the first 2 yrs, and the combination of some quality YAMAHA parts, it has now become a reliable ,useful UTV without the constant fear of having to push or tow it back from trails. I have not had a single issue pop up in a very long time.. FINALLY!....and as a side note, I just bought a C FORCE 600 ATV to replace an old and well used Honda that finally after 18 yrs gave up a rod bearing. So far the new one has really impressed me .. I like the new Power Steering and this CVT Auto Trans is new to me on an ATV .. I m used to constant shifting on my Hondas . It also has something I have never seen. Its EBS engine brake system, as soon as you let go of throttle, it engine brakes you to a stop rather quickly.. its great idea for the grandkids safety . Takes a little getting used to tho.. All in all, I like it. We shall see how durable it is after break-in.. I do "RIDE" them! .....and they honor their warrenty! and the dealer is 15 minutes away..
  6. Weii I can say it's a pretty good machine so far..I like the Power Steering auto trans. Lots of power but it does seem to run higher rpmsthan my others and definitely burns more fuel so far. May improve after break in. I AM NOT USED TO THE EBS. (Engine braking system).nice for wife and grandkids tho.
  7. Well, I did it.. I bought the CF MOTO 600 CForce .. I tell you the damn thing is nice.. Power steering /Auto Trans .. runs and drives unbelievable quiet and lots of power.. So far I m giving it a big thumbs up . Time will tell if its durable but for now its impressive
  8. agree . I have 4 Hondas.. all still run great. but theres just none here.. they are preselling them before arrival.. and the prices have skyrocketed
  9. about to pull the trigger on a CF Moto ATV.. everyone seems to like theirs, good reviews .. anyone want to warn me of issues with them ? I like my Hondas but the prices have gone nuts and availability is a joke.. This seems like a good deal
  10. that works too.. dont let them overheat.. serious damage will occur. I m sure you know already . but dont pull anything in High gear
  11. a leaking head gasket will put air into coolant as well. Hisun engines are known for head gasket failure.... while its running hot, look at coolant recovery bottle.. if you see tiny bumbles rising, its a head gasket leak.. hopefully its just your sender. you can jump it to run continuously til you can replace it
  12. cant really see in your pic.. its been a few years, but I believe it was above and rearward of pump housing.. it looks like a regular 10mm bolt just run the engine and slightly unscrew it, the air will be forced out.. there is another on top of head at water neck. do both several times to evacuate all air
  13. you said it brother.. as for filter, the Amazon filter worked on my MSU 500
  14. My first post on this thread was simply to suggest retorquing heads after cooling cycles, nothing about Massimo.. Or did you miss that? I do not show up just to bash brands.. Obviously I praise HONDA and KAWASAKI because I see their quality. if you cant see that, block me .. obviously you dont need my input and past experience with all the problems and solutions I have found on these things .. But I ll bet others have benefited .. BTW I dont need your permission to share my experiences.
  15. I did not take pics, sorry.. but its pretty easy to do. Sender is on Passenger side of radiator, just unplug it , jump it for 100% or connect plug to seperate fan controller .. Hope that helps
  16. I try to warn people of how Massimo treats customers.. many on here have had the same experience.. you tired of my posts.. ignore them.. simple click.. Massimo has sent schills to try to silence me before.. They will not succeed .. They are a rip off company and everyone should know BEFORE they buy one.. I wish someone had warned me.. I did not badmouth your machines.. I bad mouth MASSIMO.. not my fault you cant tell the difference
  17. Oh I know, Hisun is junk the Massimo Tech rep in Dallas, told me those exact words himself, right after he said they switched to Linhai engines and they would not honor HISUN warranties however, if you swap out enough parts with YAMAHA quality parts, it makes a decent machine..
  18. my guy who has repaired my blown head says retorque bolts after 10 heat cycles .. Hisun is known for eating head gaskets
  19. They are a decent machine after you swap out the junk parts for OEM Yamaha pieces . Problem is, I dont want to go thru that nightmare again.. My next will be Honda or Kawasaki. The guys I ride with never have issues. they are bulletproof
  20. no worries.... And yes, it does very well now but its 1/4 Yamaha parts now! lol ! My buddies have Hondas and Kawasakis.. Now on flat dry ground they can smoke me my 42 mph is just not in their league. but in the mud, Mine can match either of them
  21. never said I baby mine.. I said it doesnt make a difference. because other have.. They still break. . and mine went no where for months except the repair shop.. it would run for maybe a 1/2 hour or an hour.. back to shop.. ALL AT MY EXPENSE. I run mine in the mud but I do not abuse any motor.. ever. I have pulled a couple others out .. But I have been towed too.
