Welcome to the UTV Board! the top speed is supposed to right at 25mph. First off, whenever i have this similar problem with any engine, i start by running some carb cleaner through it (pour proper amount or whole can in gas tank) i usually do half a can for 4 gallon tank. and if that don't work i would check your valve clearances, check your manual for specs. Someone more experienced than me should come along soon. and will probably have a better idea than me.

The clicking sound is the starter solenoid, It clicks when i tries to engage, but doesn't have enough power to get it to engage. I think i would start by doing the cheaper fix first, the battery. likely your generator (alternator) is charging right or not at all. Does it make any noises when you try to start it after quits?

Usually clicking indicates the starter is bad or isn't getting enough juice. I would start by checking the battery. read through this thread: if the battery checks out, i would replace the solenoid, or check for voltage AT the solenoid/starter.. as far as not turning it by hand, i *think* you are supposed to be able to turn over by hand. but i am not sure on that aspect. here's a video for the solenoid. I'd go with a rear locking differential. Especially if it's Just rear wheel drive

That's a nice looking MULE. You'll have many good times with it I'm sure. And that's right, keep the tires on the bottom!

I have my 550 torn apart now rebuilding the engine. Luckily it's a single cylinder. Ran good for 17 years and rings started to go. just did regular maintenance.

Glad you got it figured out! how come the coil needs replaced?

My bad, i guess i looked at the wrong numbers. It is very odd that it doesn't show the clip in the diagram. I even looked at the diagram with the hood and it didn't show the pin.

That cable uses a simple snap pin that should pull right out with some pliers, some times where the pin goes through, they might have bent the bottom around to prevent it from coming loose. IF you can post a picture that would help some too.

I think most manufacturer's put the stamp below or around the seats.

Have you looked for any numbers on the engine? It looks very similar to the sandviper, but the 2 front metal bars are different than the viper. overall it's a good looking machine, and Welcome to the board!
