  1. You bet! We are meeting some NEW Canadian friends who own a Metal Detecting business in Canada. There will be an extra for us to use and this is something on the bucket list. We will be there for a few days & will have the Jeep with us. I will update the date when we tie it down. Going to find a HUGE gold nugget, LOL! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  2. Lenny just posted one for sale on this site, http://www.utvboard.com/topic/2741-more-joyner-trooper-parts-available-june-24-2012/page__fromsearch__1 . Best price I have seen! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  3. Going to do a little off-roading & metal detecting sometime in the middle of Nov. Anyone going to be in the area? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  4. Disagree! The unit works well but needs to be waterproofed. Even with the major off-road toys manufactures, Honda, Yamaha & others, you have always had to waterproof and continue waterproofing. I raced many of them thu the years in wet weather. Mine Joyner unit worked great but I never played in the water. If you notice where electrical issues are arising on the Trooper, it is mostly in areas where people play in water or wet weather. Where do they come for quality older cars, dry climate. Water is a killer! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  5. My rear did the same & it was the locker not fully dis-engaging. Adjusted and everything was good. Check bothe locker & 4X4 adjustment. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  6. Kinarfi, here is the posts of when I pulled my engine & replaced my bearing & clutch (engine pulled because I broke the tranny at Moab), http://www.utvboard.com/topic/1192-pulling-engine-trans/ I have pics of the clutch & bearing of which I will email to you personally. You can put them up in your post if you wish. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  7. I have a NEW set (both cables) never used. $55 plus shipping. These are the later cables after the upgrade. Sending you a PM with my email & tel # as I am only on the site once or twice a day. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  8. Will still expect to see you at the next Jamboree. Not letting you off the hook. rocmoc n AZ./Mexico
  9. One step backwards but three steps forward. Had the front diff installed and came across a deal. Bought a '78 Jeep CJ7 for parts. I am installing the open knuckled front diff from the '78 in my "69 CJ5. It is easier to service, a bit stronger & 3" wider. I was going to have to use 1 1/4" spacers as the wheels have a bit too much backspacing. Now the $120 from the spacers is being used to install a Detroit Tru-Trac locker in the front diff. It is nearly a full locker with a little bit of forgiving limited-slip. Also the new diff has DISC brakes. Diff will be ready in a week or two. Today the headers arrived so I can start their install. I have cut out the front cross member & added a new brace so I could install the MUCH bigger 3 core radiator from the CJ7. Work is going well BUT the finish date is pushed out. JJ, Joy the Jeep, will be ready for a Moab trip in the Fall. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  14. Yes, on my screen the gray speckle is black, there is no gray speckle. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  15. Looks good. Only thing I would say, on my screen the new logo blends into the surrounding colors making it a little less visible. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  16. Added a couple pics to my gallery. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

  18. New diff assemblies, springs & shackles are installed. She is sitting on her own on the 17" rims & 33" tires. Ground clearance measurements are 25" at the lowest body point, 16" at the lowest point (transfer case) under the middle and 11" under the bottom of the diffs. That is pretty good clearance without losing highway driving sablity. I will take a pic tomorrow and put it in my gallery. I am currently doing a radiator upgrade & a total rewire. I had one piece axles installed & a Detroit Locker installed in the rear diff. Called Summit Racing and the Headers are to arrive in 10 days. Going to be a little rat roddish as I have repainted and rebuild the frame and drive components but will not get the body anytime soon. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  19. I used mine for limit straps. IMHO replace with a good set of cam locks. If you can find a local SCCA or NASA racer, they have to replace belts too early per racing rules by both organizations. You can get them really reasonable and they are still great for use in the Trooper. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  20. I still say it is the hubs! Unless you machined and completed the work Lenny did, the bearing will seem OK when installed but under load will move. If it looks like you have negative camber, it is the hubs. JMHO! Someone is going to have to make an aftermarket hub replacement someday as this problem is going to creep into most of the Troopers. More so if you are running large tires with deep dish wheels. rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  21. Thanks for the report & pics. What was the temps? rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  22. Found this add this morning, http://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/3038701820.html rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  23. My shipment of presents arrived yesterday. Mounted 33" tires on 17" rims, the set of prior tires off my Dodge Ram 4X4; man does she look different & good. New springs arrived and compared to the old, easy 4" of more arch in the springs and much heavier shackles another 1/2 inchs longer. I am also doing a 1" body lift. All together the lifts & tires will add 6" of total lift. Also added a Detroit Locker to the rear diff. Headers are ordered and will arrive mid-June, back ordered from Summit Racing. She will be ready for the NEXT Joyner & Guest Jamboree ! rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
