  1. Happy New year! y'all better eat your black eyed peas!
  2. This website may help you, https://www.flhsmv.gov/safety-center/consumer-education/low-speed-vehicles/
  3. As far as accessories go, i believe the only difference is price. check out Sidebysidestuff.com for a windshield or roof. Those harbor freight badlands winches seem to do okay. Depends on what your use is for the winch. Have you priced a Warn winch?
  4. Welcome to the UTV Board!
  5. Some older briggs engines on pushmowers use that type material as the filter. My Mule has a pleated paper filter and a thin round piece of that material that i oil to catch the bigger dust, their may be some way to convert the filter, or modify to like a cold air intake of sorts. similar to this where it just clamps to the intake tube.
  6. Those type material filters are good filters as long as you keep them oiled with 30 weight or air filter oil.
  7. Apparently, Cub Cadet, Massimo and HiSun are all the same brand, so take look down in the Massimo forum and see what you think.
  8. welcome to the UTV Board Greg! good looking machine you have!
  9. https://www.scautosports.com/Massimo-Parts/TBOSS_410_ELECTRICAL_M The original factory battery is UB12350, 12V 35AH, which appears to be more of a golf cart battery.. I can't find the specs for CCA, but i found this posted on Amazon answers by an individual, "Not really a cranking battery but according to midtronics tester 300 CCA +/- 15%."
  10. depends on the Group size
  11. There might be, but Orielly auto parts Lawn and Garden batteries show what HP they're good for, and 350cca is 26 or 27 HP max.
  12. I think Joe is going to get 2 front teeth
  13. 330cca is close on the HP rating, 350cca is only good for up to 26HP. Most Autozone stores test starters for free.
  14. Merry Christmas Joe!
  15. the technology has been around for years, like you said. Briggs didn't start using it (called it Magnetron) until the early 90's due to them being tight wads and not paying the patent deal to Atom industries who made the hall effect chip.
  16. 8 starts on the mule today and so far so good!!!
  17. if it doesn't have a wet clutch, Shell Rotella 15w40 is an excellent oil to use.
  18. I would go with Can Am, mainly because from what i've seen on internet forums, Joyner parts can sometimes be hard to come by, and it seems getting a hold of Joyner to get help when your machine breaks is sometimes hit or miss. notice i said When your machine breaks.
  19. This a passenger car or a UTV/Side by side?
  20. i'll film for him if i can get a split of the funds.....
  21. got the new starter on, i turned it over about 20 times for a second or two at a time as to not burn out a new starter, lol, and it never clicked once, spun it right up everytime!! and this is the first starter i've ever purchased that came with a Quality control PASS paper. I'm glad this is all behind me, this new starter sounds so much better than that old POS. But here's what i've been saying to myself the last month or so, " it could be worse, Travis. I could have a Massimo" LOL
  22. yes sir, the battery has tested good. i cant' say i've ever heard of mule battery or lawn tractor battery sitting at 13+ volts. my cub cadet battery usually sits around 12.5-12.8 on the cubs meter.
  23. no, i will probably install it later tonight, need to use the mule for a few things today. but the new start gear and shaft will spin both ways, the old starter i noticed previously, it would only spin one way. so i guess it not being able to rotate opposite of the shaft rotation is probably causing binding. we'll find out,
