  1. i think alot of them won't go over a certain speed if the seat belts aren't latched.
  2. I've got 6.5HP briggs mower with a connecting rod chirp/rattle. It's been doing that for 7 or 8 years. Some times stuff will make noise and never break.. Then something that sounds good breaks just like that.
  3. Have a look at the new downloads section here and see if you can find a manual....i would imagine it has a troubleshooting section There's probably a Relay for the fuel pump to. https://www.utvboard.com/files/
  4. I'd say it's definitely worth a try... could be a few $ fix.
  5. White plugs means the engine is running very lean and hot. The battery shouldn't have anything to do with the ignition as it's magneto fired, but it seems like it does.
  6. I couldn't find the NGK spark plug number used, but it seems like a lot of people recomnend using a colder spark plug in them than the factory plug. It sounds like the heat rating is too high When the heat rating is too high: The spark plug temperature remains too low and causes deposits to build up on the firing end; the deposits offer an electrical leakage path that gives rise to loss of sparks. https://www.ngk.com.au/technical_info/heat-range/
  7. I use a tech spark manual that is on a CD for my mule, well as of a few days Adobe Flash is no longer supported and my CD manual wouldn't work. If you have a Techspark CD repair manual and you get this screen when you go to the manual, Here is a work around! Download this: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/runasdate.zip it allows you to run a specific application on your PC before a certain date (think of, going back in time) Now, after you download it, you should be to this point click on what i have circled in red , When you click on it, you may have this pop up, Click RUN. Then this will appear, click on BROWSE. then click on Techspark Studio under DVD RW drive, that will bring you to this then click on start, as soon as you click on start, that will take you back to the Run As Date application, then click the RUN button in the lower left hand corner and if you did everything right, your manual will load and work!
  8. No matter which doctor I go to for a general checkup, they all hit me on the knee. I think they get a kick out of it.
  9. View File Kawasaki Mule 550,520,500 Engine repair manual This file contains all specifications, troubleshooting and repair procedures for the FE290D (9.5H.P,286cc) engine used in the Mule 500,520 and 550 models. Topics covered include, general information, service data, disassembly, reassembly, inspection of parts and maintenance. Notes: Make sure you're reading the correct information as this manual covers multiple FE series engine, some of which were not used in Mules, the manual does a very good job of clarifying which specifications and procedures are for which Model engine. 11. If you want a Hisun, Read through the Massimo forum ( i believe HiSun makes Massimo).... Honestly, i don't think they're worth the steel they're stamped out of.
  12. Either way, I'm going to recommend Kawasaki, i love my mule to death. all depends on if you do alot of work and hauling/towing, or more for playing around and speed.
  13. i doubt it, Personally if i were in the market for a new side by side, i'd rather pay 5-6 K for a good used Mule or Ranger than say, a new massimo or chinese unit.

    Hello

    Welcome to the UTV Board!!
  15. That would be my next step.
  16. I haven't found a good online partshouse here in Texas, besides ordering through my local dealer, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is the next best thing, if the part is in stock at their Kentucky wharehouse, it gets to me no later than 3 days from order date.
  17. It''s sleeting here now, though the radar just shows rain, looks like the rest of Texas is going to get snow too. it's 37° right now.
  18. does it make grinding noises when you try to put it in gear, while the engine is running?
  19. Also if you can supply what engine make your Mule has, i don't think Kawasaki made their own diesel for the mule it's either Yanmar or Daihatsu. Sometimes going by engine maker makes parts easier to find.
  20. Did you check what the voltage is at the starter?
  21. I finally found them, service manual for the t-boss, $75... it may be worth your money, if you plan on keeping this machine https://www.scautosports.com/Manuals/Service_Manual_TBoss410
  22. do you know which way your engine (Crankshaft) PTO rotates? CW or CCW, Most likely it's a CCW rotation so the starter should also be spinning Counter clockwise.
