Just from an engineering / manufacturing point of view (I'm electrical, so grain of salt here) the cover should be a stamped piece, or maybe even molded - same difference, you make one and then you make 10000. the steering shaft, now that has to be cut, maybe turned, maybe threaded, Someone has to touch each one - that's the part that's going to be as rare as TP (sorry) - Since i got ya, I have put every incentive dollar into dressing my pro-fx out; adventure package and curtis plow. I am coming unglued waiting for it.

Daniel, I don’t have quite that much in mine yet but I’ve held off getting one for about 10 years and now I’m waiting more...it’s hard on me too.

When I picked up my teryx from the dealer last week,  I had kind of talked the old man into looking at a mule pro fxt eps.  So,  we asked the salesman if he had any he could show us, and he did.   But like you have all said he told us here could sell it,  but we couldn't take it yet.   I think they had at least a couple there that were sold but still waiting on the recalls to be finalized before they could leave the place.   Shame, I think they probably could have made another sale that day otherwise.

I stopped at my Iowa dealer today.  They have 5 mules spoken for via deposit.  Sounds like they are hoping to  get 5 repair kits mid April.  Kawai called and asked how many they still had spoken for.  But as for the rest of the inventory who knows.  . Thats from sales staff.   Take with a grain of salt at this point.  I dont think anyone really knows.  Anyone will say anything positive about parts arrival to help avoid the loss of sale.

Let's make that a large grain of salt. Lol! I spoke with Kawasaki customer service today (April 30). They told me my dealer "should" receive parts in a couple of weeks.

I called kawasaki on monday and they told me nothing has shipped to any store yet.  These parts are made overseas and with the covid bs they have no idea when they will arrive.   But parts are ordered. Only problem is they will sit in customs for 10-14 days before they ship from there.

My dealer told me they already have the parts for the heat shield problem. Now they are waiting on the steering shaft parts and are supposed to be here by the end of the week. One part came from KY the other (the one they are still waiting on) was coming from California. It has shipped and they are tracking it. I better have my buggy by Saturday or I'm going to buy a Canam. This whole situation is driving me insane. Been waiting since the day they did the stop sale Dec 17th!!? Went to sign the papers and they were like OMG we can't sell it. The email came through right when we were fixing to sign the friggin papers gggrrrrrrrr!!!!! I need to be in the woods social distancing.... Lol

You’re part from Kentucky probably came off my machine....my dealer is closed during this Covid shutdown.....service department and all!! I’ve resorted to working on fences for the past 8 weeks. Got a nice new trailer tucked away in the barn ready to pull a Mule home too!

Kawasaki just told me it will be middle of may before we can pick up are mules

I don’t think I’ll be putting that in my calendar. Everything has been “in the next couple of weeks” since this mess started. I told my wife I’d be happy to have it by Thanksgiving and I was half joking but that could become the reality of things.

I talked to both my dealer and Kawasaki customer care today - both had similar status to relay - and similar to other posts.  The  parts to repair the fire hazard/exhaust manifold cover issue are already here (at the dealership).  The parts to address the steering shaft issue have yet to ship - with their current projection for receiving them as the end of this month (~April 30th).  So best case looks like early May for delivery of these units.  I guess that assumes the dealerships stay open (mine is for now).

I could have made the exact same post with one exception.  My dealer has finally admitted they have no idea when the steering parts will arrive.

I feel that bit of information is the first and only piece of information I have been given that I can take to the bank.

I wish they would let me take mine as well mine has 2 miles on it setting at the dealership paid for and all I could do is look at it lol

Do you go by and put your face to the window and mourn a few days a week? If mine wasn’t in the back I would have a bench set up.

I kind of let the Kawasaki rep off the hook when I said 'if its a safety issue then I know the answer if I offer to bring it back when the parts arrive' and he gave the answer i knew he would. He said the steering parts were originally being sourced from china, but then they started getting them made (I don't remember - far east country - sorry). He did say they were prioritizing the few that were slated to come in and they had talked to my dealer already. Said end of April - for whatever that's worth.

to me somebody at kawasaki has to know the status of these parts. i get it but somebody has to know

You are spot on with that statement. The biggest thing I don't understand is why everything about this situation is such a hidden secret.  If it weren't for the things I have done on my own (calling Kawasaki and joining this forum) I wouldn't know a single thing. Through all of this, neither my dealer or Kawasaki has reached out just to share any kind of update.

I agree completely. They know where those parts are and despite the virus, they know when they will arrive.

I’ll say this...if my dealer knows anything, he’s done a good job playing it off. I’d say there is someone inside Kawasaki that probably knows more than they are letting out but I wonder how many of us there are that are interested in this? Are there really that many people who are waiting in line to buy a Mule? From what I’ve read on here, the majority of us on this forum are ones who have bought one and waiting for it or have a deposit on one. Are there that many people in the same boat?

I stopped at my dealer last tuesday. They informed me that their Kawasaki rep contacted them to verify how many they still had on hold via 500  $  deposit.  I assume this is to make sure just enough kits go to each dealer to get those units out the door.      But yes y such a secret?  Virus is not helping im sure at this point . But in Jan/Feb it was different reasons.   So your alls guess as to hush hush is as good as mine.

hello everyone, i just joined this forum to try my luck, few days ago i bought an old (dont know exactly), 2011/14 hi sun 500cc ""carburated"",  was not running at the time, but i fell was a good deal and decided it to bring it home to play with it, this is the issue, i bought and installed a new carb, and pump, i repositioned the battery location and upgraded to a "car batt", reconnected the fuel lines and started it, but it only runs with the choke ON, i checked the bowl, it does have fuel, but for some reason wont inject it to run, i came across a video that say that ""the body small tank had to be connected for the cart to run" (was deleted when bought), sure enough i got it to run sporadically , but the so called ""small body tank'' often runs out of fuel and wont refill itself , i had to couple times do it manually, so how does that small tank works ?..what does it do?..and why if  bypass it , the cart wont start?....any help?..thanks so much!!!

So I've got a Hisun 550 that I was doing some work on that required removing the CVT and it's housing. Upon attempting to reinstall the clutch, sheaves, etc, I found that the belt no longer fits - it's far too wide. None of the parts have been replaced, they're all OEM. Exactly the same parts as what I took off a few weeks ago.
To be more specific, my belt is 1.25in wide, but the gap between the clutch and the primary sheave is only 7/8in wide. I'll include a few photos to explain.
Has anyone ever experienced such a bizarre problem? Any help at all would be appreciated, I've been stuck on this for a month. I'm open to just about any suggestion.

I purchased a new 2023 Landmaster UTV L4 in October of 2023.  UTV didn't seem to have as much power of the demo L4 that I drove but figured once it broke in it would be better.  After about a week the unit started bogging down backfiring and stopping.  Gas fumes really bad, wait a few minutes and it would start up again.  Brought it back to the dealer and after keeping it for a few weeks said he couldn't find anything wrong with it.  Got it back home and it started acting up again, brought it back to dealer a week later and he said he found couple things that might cause it to do run bad and he was able to replicate the issue but didn't really know what was wrong.  Got it back home again after being at dealer for several weeks and the unit started running bad again right away.  Brought it back to dealer and he went back and forth with Kohler about possible fixes but just checked somethings and try to swap a few parts but still runs bad.  I called Landmaster HQ to speak with someone about a refund and was told that was handled at the dealer level.  Dealer called Landmaster and they told him they didn't do refunds or exchanges especially with units that had problems.  The dealer is now trying to get a new engine to but I have not heard anything as of yet.  I did file complaint with Better Business Bureau and they accepted my claim and reached out to Landmaster.  The National Service Manager called me and said the he had been contacted by the BBB about the complaint and he would look into it.  I told him that I would just like to have my down payment of $2,000.00 returned and never mind the over $1,000.00 I have paid in notes for a UTV that I cannot even ride on without hoping it gets me around the neighborhood.  I have found out that the 2024 Landmaster UTVs will have Vanguard engines due to issues with the Kohler engines.  Very disappointed in what is "Proudly Made in the USA" and the way Landmaster has treated this disabled veteran!

starts up you have keep rpms up for 5 minutes till it warms up then runs fine. But if it stalls wont start unless you unplug fuel pump and hold it to the floor till it starts then plug pump back in and run it till it warms up then it is fine all day.

2020 Massimo Buck 400 - Won't start. Can hear the starter spinning, but motor never turns. Relay? Starter? Worked fine one day and not the next. Thanks for any help you can provide.
