  1. Battery ignition like a car or does it use coils and magnets on the flywheel?
  2. www.hisunmotors.com/contact-us/customer-care Best thing to do is contact the manufacturer
  3. I would check the ignition coil air gap to the flywheel, If you can't find a specification i always set them at .010" thousandths. And i would also remove the flywheel nut/bolt and check the key while your at it, as if the key is sheared it can throw off ignition timing. Is the engine one of those Honda clone type engines?
  4. I couldn't find anything on google or other websites.... Pretty sure the camshaft will have a automatic compression relief on it that relieves compression out of the cylinder via one of the valves during start up, so usually when cranking the engine with a compression tester the reading won't be the Exact compression of a engine running at 2500 RPM, But, it seems to be a baseline for all small engines whether it be lawnmowers or 4 wheelers, seems as though 85 to 90 PSI is the minimum to start a 4 stroke engine.
  5. Did it fire when you put fuel in the spark plug hole and reinstalled plug? If not you need to locate the igniton coil, you'll need to remove the flywheel fan cover. Trace the spark plug wire if you need help locating it. There should be 2 wires on that coil. The spark plug wire and the Coil kill wire. The kill wire is what you want. un plug it from the coil. reinstall the fan housing so you can start it. Then put fuel in the spark plug hole, reinstall the plug and spark plug wire, and try to start if it fires, there is something grounding the coil and killing spark, could be the wire has some insulation missing and shorting on something, or a faulty kill switch. If it fires and dies with the wire unplugged you also have a carb issue. if you unplugged the wire and it still didn't fire, bad ignition coil. Now, when the kill wire is unplugged and it tries to start and backfires and pops, you may have valve timing issue (out of adjustment) or a sheared flywheel key.
  6. The part fits the 2 models listed below: RTV500-A / H (Orange model ATV / HDWS) RTV500R-A / H (Realtree Hardwoods Camo model ATV / HDWS) got this straight from Messicks.
  7. Is this the orange model or Hardwoods camo? Okay, looked through all the diagrams at messicks, Only 2 sensors i could find, Thermostat and this one. which i assume to be the fuel pressure unit. part number EG672-44800.... IF that is it, it is pricey. $150 i think. I couldn't find any picture of it, so it may best to contact Kubota with that part number i gave you and see what they say.

  9. Kawasaki sells this winch mount for the 4010, part number KAF40-014 and it looks like it will accommodate most winches as it has multiple holes drilled in it, and 2 for mounting to the Mule. it runs $100 give or take $20.
  10. I plan on prepping and coating the bed floor with POR15, supposedly kills and stops rust... It needs it after 20 years.. I thought about water getting under it... I actually cut the mat today and fits perfect all the way around.. I'm thinking about using a black caulk or sealer around the edges. But that would inhibit removal Right now it stays under a tarp, but a shed for it is in the near future... I I may come up with a way to use preexisting holes drilled in the bed for load fastening for a quick release though...
  11. welcome to the forum. the kawasaki manual is very secretive. lol I replaced my cables last year, in this thread i cover just about everything. I would replace them, as most likely they are corroded with rust on the inside.
  12. Welcome to the UTV board! Might take a look at Kawasaki's new KRX ...Depending on your budget.
  13. I did find this at cabela's.... https://www.cabelas.com/product/UTV-Bed-Mats/716941.uts says it fits the mule 3010 4010, not sure if they're the same dimensions as mine or not? edit, way too large. i found more specs on the one kawasaki sells, It's 5/16" thick.. but for 80 bucks....
  14. No dump assist, I'm pretty strong . Plus, once the angle of the bed gets to a certain point, the weight assists with the dumping and the tilt of the bed tilts to almost vertical.. But i rarely carry anything to dump, just firewood in the winter, tools and feed buckets in the spring and fall. I also want something thick enough that can protect the bed from gouges and scrapes, But you do have some good points. I will think about it. I also thought about using those spray cans of bedliner.... but i read so many mixed reviews, i didn't know if it would be worth it or not.
  15. Okay another project i plan on doing. The bed has a few rust spots starting on it, so i figure i'd better get the jump on it. Also i've always to put a bed mat in it to protect it, Kawasaki sells one, but for $70 AND it's fairly thin, i think about 5/16" ( i know some of the mats for the newer FXT's are 3/16") maybe less. so here's my plan. Strip the paint in the floor of the bed, expose raw metal, sand and brush any rust away, apply POR15 to kill the rust, then once that dries go over with the spray of rust reformer to prevent rust (maybe). Tractor supply sells those horse stall mats, my dad just bought one, they seem to be about 9/16" thick, maybe more. cut to dimensions, ( 40 3/4" wide X 34 1/2" long) Now, the way i figure on fixing the mat to the bed is this: once i have the mat cut to dimension, drill through the mat and bed and bolt it down with carriage bolts since the heads are more or less flat. do one in each corner, nut and lockwasher on the underside. ONE quart of POR15 covers 96 SQ FT, so i think a pint may be enough for my bed..... and it looks like this one will be the right size.... https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/utility-rubber-mat-black-4-ft-x-3-ft-x--frac12-in?cm_vc=-10005 What should i do differently? Thoughts?
  16. May also be the ignition coils failing when hot, let em cool down, they work great, heat up, no spark.. Woops, ignore the above, I misread your problem. But I would check for spark when it won't restart, if it has spark, then it's a fuel issue... I would feel of the carburetor float area to be sure it isn't hot enough to keep you from touching it.
  17. Seems pretty pathetic on mAssimo's end...
  18. Welcome to the UTV Board @massimobuck400xgolf , Hopefully someone on here or Massimo can help you out!
  19. Kawasaki is close to releasing all new models for 2021..... Maybe they would take a direct trade in for My mule? lol.
  20. Looks great!!! Beautiful country side behind it too. must be a new look Kawasaki is doing, I've noticed too on my Grandfather's Mule SX, they don't have axle nut covers, to me they should, all the more protection against dirt, dust, mud and water. And rust.
