  1. Yes it will hold moisture, though I have never heard of anyone using where the pipe rotted quickly, It's possible you might could fabricate a heat shield on the underside of the cargo bed. How far away is the pipe from the bottom of the bed?
  2. Look into Exhaust heat wraps, buy it in rolls on amazon.
  3. Wildfire Motors was a company based in Steubenville, Ohio, specializing in the sales of scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, cyclecars, and electric vehicles. The vehicles are manufactured in China and were distributed throughout the United States. It appears they are out of business now. From Wikipedia
  4. I would open it up, TAKE GOOD PICTURES, heck, even a short video of everything, if it turns out to be what kenfain said, a pin, or keeper, $5-10 fix possibly. Order a new one if you want, install it,, off you go.
  5. It seems as though you solved your problem reading your 2nd post Welcome to the UTV Board! This forum is so good, you join and your problem is fixed!!!
  6. I would start with something easy first, and check that your brakes aren't dragging. Jack it up, front and back and spin the tires.
  7. If I were you, I'd threaten with legal action via lemon law and get back your money.
  8. That Looks great! Have Gun, Will Travel See many wild hogs up your way?
  9. did it start smoking after you raised the Oil level? too much oil will definently cause it to smoke. I'm sure the engineers who designed the engine knew the proper level the Oil should be at for proper operation and longevity for the internal parts.
  10. I've seen some USPS packages take strange routes!!! I ordered a part from Pennsylvania one time, it went from Pennsylvania, to Ohio, Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma.... Finally 4 days after the 3 day guarantee arrival time, it made it to Dallas... Then to Austin... Then from Austin to Houston then finally to Conroe.....
  11. I haven't read much on the diesel mule, But I did read the Pro DX EPS diesel Has a greater towing capacity of 1 ton. So that's already more than the Kubota. And 4 wheel drive also.
  12. I would look into a Kubota diesel utv, they seem to have a more Robust frame than most other brands and of course a diesel you get more torque and most can haul upwards of 1400 pounds, and 4 wheel drive.
  13. My method for removing tight drain plugs is get a box end wrench, correct size, and a hammer. Put the wrench on the plug head, and hit the other end of the wrench with the hammer, it's basically like a Poor mans impact wrench. Be sure you are turning counter clockwise.
  14. Welcome to The UTV Board! Good looking rig you've got there!
  15. Happy Memorial day everyone. While we grill our burgers and hot dogs on the grill, let us not forget the many men and women who died to give us our freedoms. God bless the families of service members who have died in service to their beloved country.
  16. I just do it by ear, but I just ordered a Tiny Tach off eBay to do it Right.
  17. I noticed that after I put the new gates on, the pulley was spinning, but there wasn't as much pressure on it, my Mule has been cantankerous with the diff lock forever, in my owner's manual it said the mule may have to roll a few feet before it engages. I've had that rear axle out with that diff engage assembly, the two gears that mesh to provide posi trac, the teeth on them are rather large so it has to be lined up perfectly, Idle speed should be at or close to 1350 rpm.
  18. Actually on mine, the driven converter has always spun at idle, even several years ago with the Original Kawasaki belt. But i definitely noticed better idleing, and another shifting with the gates belt. compared to the dayco.
  19. $20 on Amazon or Ebay, it was well worth it.
